We may be the relative “new kids on the block,” but did you know our building has been home to an opticians since the 1990s? It has a proud, 30-year history of serving the local community with expert eye care, which is something we are very much enjoying being a part of.

The shop has gone through a few changes since the ‘90s, but the same ethos remains: to offer the residents of Bishy Road and surrounding areas a friendly, personal and expert eye care service.

Some of you may remember the shop as The Spectacle Gallery in the ‘90s, then McBrides Opticians, which it was for almost 20 years, and — most recently — Cameron Beaumont, where Georgia was the main optometrist for over two and a half years before being given the exciting opportunity to take over the business and rebrand the business under the Rae & Rae banner which you see today.
