Optomap Scan

Now for the technical stuff.

We include an Optomap scan in every private eye exam.

It sounds fancy, and that’s because it is! This important piece of equipment gives an incredibly detailed panoramic image of the back of your eye. With it we can discover early signs of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and cancer, and early detection reduces the risk to your sight and general health. It is quick and painless, and you can review the results with Georgia or Rowena immediately.

Don’t worry, this isn’t just reserved for private tests. We can also offer an Optomap scan to NHS patients as part of our enhanced NHS eye test (see Prices for more information).
