Contact Lens Types
As an independent optician we are not tied to any one brand, so we have the freedom to offer what’s truly best for you.
Soft Lenses
These can be daily, two weekly or monthly disposables or extended wear. These are the most commonly prescribed lenses. They quickly adapt to your eye and are comfortable straight away. Whether you want contact lenses for that special occasion, sport or just want a switch up from your glasses, these may be the lenses for you.
Toric Lenses
Contact lenses have come a long way over the past few years. We can now cater for those of you with astigmatisms. Toric contact lenses are designed to fit the shape of your eye like a glove, making for a comfortable and stable fit for astigmatic wearers. They are the best lenses to try and preserve the vision you experience in your glasses. Fitting toric lenses can often be a little more difficult than spherical lenses, so it may take a few visits to get that perfect result – but don’t worry as this will all be covered under your contact lens trial fee.
Multifocal Lenses
These blend together two or more prescriptions to allow your eyes to focus on objects at all distances. Basically, they are contact lenses with multiple prescriptions in one lens. This all-in-one lens benefits people with presbyopia - when your eyes can no longer focus on objects up close.
