We’re a small, boutique store, which means we can’t stock thousands of frames. Don’t worry though, we still stock over 300 at any one time.

All this means is that each of our frames must earn a place in our store.

We are proud of the collection we have curated. FOMO is so last year, for us it’s all about JOMO (that’s the Joy Of Missing Out). At Rae & Rae you’ll never be overwhelmed by hundreds of brands in the same styles. Instead, you get to choose from the best, lovingly handpicked for you by our experts.

As an independent ourselves, we steer clear of the big name corporate brands, championing smaller independent manufacturers (most of which you won’t find in your average high street opticians), and we are proud to stock several brands that are exclusive to us in York.
