ECO’s ethos is – as the name suggests – all about feeling good about yourself and expressing your style, whilst also being part of positive change for the planet.

They believe that making a difference starts with making better choices, which is why they made it their mission to use recycled and biobased material in their frames. Their sustainability credentials are multi-faceted, however, and not limited to just the materials they use to create their beautiful eyewear; they are packaged sustainably, using recycled PET for the case and recycled paper for the outer packaging, and for every frame purchased ECO also pledges to plant a tree.

Social and Eco

ECO believe that all big changes come in the form of many small ones, and hence they work with Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every frame purchased. With our help, they’ve planted over 2.5 million so far – and that number just keeps growing. They also organise regular Beach Clean-ups in NYC, Orange County, Miami and Italy.

Footprint and Manufacturing

The core ECO range is either Biobased, made from 63% plant-based material, or recycled, made from 95% recycled material. More recently they launched their ECO Ocean range made from ocean-based and bound plastic.
